And, how do I do it?
Thanks to Lantek, the market of metal companies has different mechanisms that allow a corporate ERP to coexist with our systems. These are solutions that provide new added value to the different processes.
These integrations are carried out via web services (Avantiaservices) or special communication files (Powersync, Masterlink). These coded files can be totally standard, according to the definition by Lantek, or customized, according to the particular needs of the ERP software the client has.
Although the integrations offered by Lantek solutions can be implemented at any point in the system, the most common and significant ones are: preparing quotes, manufacturing, invoicing, validation and stocktaking.
Providing quotes
Our systems consider the productive process as a single component, whether referring to cutting operations or those of any other type. Seen in this way, it’s possible to provide an estimate for the cost of said operations, the material used, without forgetting the possibility of applying certain deadlines, all the while considering the parameters defined by the company in each case and subsequently calculating the final cost of one or several parts.
The way that quotes are provided with Lantek’s integration software solutions even allows other types of additional costs to be included, such as those associated with transport, to state one recurrent cost.
Manufacturing
Lantek’s integration systems for a corporate or cross-cutting ERP make it possible to record the manufacturing that the company should produce per day or per week.
To do so, using integration mechanisms, the definition of the parts is imported, from their manufacturing route to their geometry so that, in the end, a manufacturing order is created that explicitly states the specific quantity, material and thicknesses.
This way, once they have been sent to the corporate ERP system, the orders can be programmed, with the amount of stock necessary for the manufacturing process available at all times.
Invoicing
With invoicing, synchronization with the company’s accounting systems can be done bidirectionally; that is, Lantek exports the information from the sales and/or purchases invoices and records the payments made in the accounting system, whether they are total or partial payments. The mechanisms implemented through Lantek have a credit management component which, thanks to the flow of information between the systems, will always be up-to-date.
Validation
Once a nesting is completed, we can export the related information, such as the sheet consumption (weight and traceability labelling used), the scrap generated, the parts lost, the use of validation and much more data.
The corporate ERP system can manage, once all of this data has been analyzed, the status of orders and inventory allowing you to find out, at all times, which material is available, programming the necessary purchases in case of stock shortages.
Inventory
In scenarios like the one that we are proposing, where the material is not exclusively managed by Lantek and another business management program controls the stock, the integration devices synchronize inputs and outputs so that both systems contain the same data, guaranteeing the consistency of the inventory in both places. In addition to this, if there is a purchase of material in the corporate ERP system, it is synchronized with Lantek and the consumption of material caused by the nestings is returned to the ERP during the validation process, keeping the stock updated.
As explained above, Lantek’s ERP solution can integrate with other systems in all of a company’s existing sensitive processes. Equally, it’s a "custom-made integration" that fits with the requirements of the client in each case.
