Software for the coexistence of different sheet metal cutting machines at the same plant

  • Advanced Manufacturing
Typically, a second machine tool is added to plants in an attempt to increase production and/or diversify. However, we are also seeing it as a phenomenon aimed at resolving the issue with small series. This occurs when there’s a machine with a large automated production capacity which is expensive to interrupt in order to manufacture small series. To cover this gap and avoid interrupting serial production, many factories use an additional, cheaper machine, without automation but with greater availability.

4 challenges in migrating applications to the Cloud

  • Advanced Manufacturing
For many companies, the journey to the cloud presents itself as a challenge. Its enormous benefits are obvious: cost reduction, access from anywhere and any device that is connected, immediate and unlimited scalability, integration of programming languages... Advantages that imply such substantial savings and efficiency that it’s impossible to ignore that we are now in the era of Cloud software. Technology replacement will be unstoppable in years to come. For this reason, it’s essential to do it safely, gradually and without interruptions that slow down the company’s operation. Finding suitable partners to ensure a smooth landing is crucial in order for successful migration to the Cloud.

Innovation in the production of tubes and piping parts

  • Advanced Manufacturing
Transporting water, protecting cables, channeling energy... There are round ones, square ones, rectangular ones or open profiles. They’re everywhere, from electrical appliances to awnings, including canopies, trailers or all types of machinery for the industrial sector. They are also manufactured in different materials, but the one we’re interested in is metal. For some time now, the tube manufacturing industry has been playing an increasingly central role in the plants, ceasing to be a complimentary and limited activity to become a large-volume production which incorporates complex structures and assemblies thanks to the improvements introduced in cutting machines and benders.
