In celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, Lantek opened its doors to the young members of the Araski junior basketball teams. The girls were treated to a tour of the Lantek facilities at the Alava Technology Park and a one-of-a-kind talk with the company’s engineers.
Laura Santamaría and Lidia Almazán led the session, sharing their expertise in technology and emphasizing the crucial role of women in the field. They dispelled gender stereotypes and engaged the girls in a Q&A session, along with providing visual aids and valuable information on in-demand technology professions.
The day concluded with a delightful snack hosted by Lantek, giving the players a chance to reflect on their experience and engage in meaningful conversation. It is our hope that we will have the opportunity to continue inspiring these talented girls to pursue their interests in technology and to strive for gender equality in all industries.
Lantek’s collaboration with the Araski women’s basketball team, now in its second year, highlights our commitment to promoting gender equality and encouraging girls to explore their potential in technology. The technology industry is constantly evolving, and it is imperative that women have a presence in various roles and leadership positions. Through our technology day, we demonstrate our dedication to nurturing the next generation of women leaders in the field.
