Lantek, a pioneering multinational in the digital transformation of the sheet metal and metalworking sector, is holding its annual International Meeting from 26th to 28th September at the Europa Conference Centre in Vitoria-Gasteiz. An event that will allow the Basque company to celebrate the excellent financial results it achieved last year, with a growth in turnover of almost 25%, reaching 35.3 million euros, and with more than 400 employees worldwide, a growth of 33%.
As Alberto López de Biñaspre, CEO of Lantek, points out: "Year after year, our results continue to speak for us and for the great moment of Basque industry in the world. The International Meeting is the best moment to celebrate this together. Our expansion and growth plan is making steady progress and is placing us among the most important reference companies in the sector. The development of talent is a fundamental pillar of our business and, in this sense, we can also highlight the strengthening of the presence of female talent in our workforce, with a 58% increase in the proportion of female hires in STEAM profiles during the last financial year".
The 2023 International Meeting will bring together in Vitoria more than 200 participants, including employees from the more than 21 offices in the 15 countries where Lantek is present, as well as its main distributors from all over the world.
During the three days, the participants will have the opportunity to learn first-hand about Lantek’s objectives and plans for the coming years, as well as to continue team building through various workshops, round tables and sports and leisure activities. Another highlight of the meeting will be the presentation of the new version of Lantek’s software solution, called v43, which includes more than 80 improvements that contribute to greater efficiency, flexibility and security in the digitalisation of manufacturing processes.
Investment and commitment to R&D have been key to Lantek’s existence for over 35 years and to its technological leadership in the sector; the close collaboration it maintains with over 150 leading machine tool manufacturers around the world confirms this commitment to leading the transformation of the sector through software.
As a result of this approach, it is worth highlighting the two major agreements reached in 2023 to bring all the benefits of AI to the industrial world. At the beginning of the year, Lantek became an associate company of the Basque Artificial Intelligence Centre (BAIC), the reference organisation in the Basque Country for artificial intelligence. In this sense, Lantek collaborates in the areas of talent development and the incorporation of ethical and regulatory aspects of AI by industry.
The company also participates at national and European level with the aiXia collaborative project, which aims to implement a secure and trustworthy infrastructure for Artificial Intelligence (AI) Federated Services. In fact, one of the Strategic Hazitek projects led by the company has been highlighted as excellent.

In fact, one of the strategic Hazitek projects led by the company has been highlighted as outstanding."
Artificial Intelligence (AI), combined with the use of analytical tools such as those provided by Lantek, will allow us to take advantage of all the information coming from our plants and companies, making it even more relevant for decision-making. The use of intelligent solutions will allow industry to be better prepared for overload situations, stock changes, unavailability of a machine or any other incident that may occur and alter its production capacity. Industrial software is increasingly becoming a fundamental and central element in this digital transformation process," says the company’s CEO.
To support this major commitment, Lantek has doubled its R&D team over the last two years in order to further accelerate the commercial launch of breakthrough products in the sheet metal, tube and metal finishing transformation market.
