Lantek follows the Sun around the Earth with a worldwide program of exhibitions for its sheet metal software solutions.
An unprecedented 24 hour 7 day marathon of exhibitions by Lantek has brought its sheet metal and steelwork solutions to a worldwide audience.
With exhibitions in Korea, the UK and the USA, all in the space of one week, Lantek has presented its Lantek Expert CADCAM, Lantek Integra ERP and Lantek Steelworks Solutions for sheet metal and structural steelwork to thousands of engineers from around the world.
Running from the 17th to 22nd April, SIMTOS 2012 in Seoul, South Korea was the 15th manufacturing technology show boasting 700 exhibitors and around 100,000 visitors. Lantek’s Korean office demonstrated how the latest 2012 version of Lantek software solutions can automatically nest kits of parts and link sequences of operations together into one mouse click. Not only does this capability, which is particularly effective on families of parts, automate manufacture, but it also ensures the best methods are being used which in turn raises quality standards and reduces cost.
MACH 2012, which took place in Birmingham, UK during the same week, is the premier manufacturing event for the country and attracts visitors from across Europe. Visitors to Lantek’s stand saw Lantek Integra ERP which integrates all of the company’s products from Lantek Expert CADCAM through to Lantek Manager and Lantek Wos. Companies installing the system can control the complete manufacturing process from quotation through to order, purchasing, subcontracting, manufacture and delivery. By raising efficiency levels and offering complete transparency, Lantek Integra can ensure profitability through accurate costing while at the same time improving delivery performance.
At the NASCC steel conference in Dallas which ran from 18th to 20th April, Lantek Steelworks software solution was an ideal fit for delegates to the event’s extensive structural steel seminar program. Sessions included presentations on seismic joints, floor vibrations and hybrid steel frame design. Lantek Steelworks is integrated with the company’s Lantek Flex3d Steelwork system. This enables the 3D CAD/CAM design and cutting of standard profiles including I, U, L, T, H, round and square sections. Automatic and semi-automatic 3D nesting maximizes material utilization while optimization of the profile and the CNC code, coupled with collision avoidance technology, ensures safe and efficient cutting operations on a range of machinery, including sawing, drilling, punching, tapping, marking, oxycut, and plasma. Additionally, the software includes 2D and 3D design, CNC programming of profiles, integrates with third party structural design software such as Tekla Structures® BIM software, and ERP capabilities to control costs and production, and ensure the best possible return on investment.
