The multinational sheet metal company Lantek Automatización broke the barrier of 3,000 customers worlwide last year. ""We´ve exceeded even the most optimistic of predictions"", says Alberto Gabika, the commercial manager of the company, based at the Miñano Technology Park in Álava province.
Lantek holds out-and-out market leadership in France, Italy and Spain, and is now moving forward with Lantek U.K., Lantek Korea and Lantek Germany. The Kores subsidiary has doubled its number of customers this year, and major headway has been made in the punching area. ""Our goals are becoming more and more ambitious. We are specially pleased with the success of the Korea and U.K. branches, as we placed our firm faith in these two terms and the 2002 results show that our convictions have paid off"", Gabika affirms.
One of the main motives for this increase is the consolidation of the agreements signed with some of the world´s top cutting and punching machine manufactures, who series-include Lantek systems. In 2002 alone Lantek gained 600 new users.
Objetives for 2003
Lantek´s main bussines priority for 2003 is to consolidate and strengthen the heavy stakes placed in the United States, from the recently-opened headquarters in Houston (Texas). Concentrating on service, and going all out for excellence in this area, will also be one of our main maxims this year, and we are already developing and testing innovative new tools for this. Without losing sight of all the possibilities offeres by the world´s greatest market, China.
Lantek´s turnover grew by 17% during the 2002 financial year, reaching a figure of 5.7 million Euros.
