On the 10th May this year, Lantek opened their second new building at the Alava Technological Park (Alava – Spain). “The existing building had become too small for our team and we therefore decided to show confidence by purchasing a 10.000 m2 area close to the existing building. The new building will allow us to be more dynamic and flexible to achieve our future targets. The investment we have made has been more than worthwhile”, states Alberto Martínez, Managing Director of Lantek.
With 1.800 square meters and three floors, the new building has the most advanced technologies in communications and networking. The R&D department, Administration department and Lantek Business Solutions S.L. have been located in the new facility. At this moment, there are more than 50 engineers working there and this is expected to reach at least 70 by the end of 2007.
The opening ceremony consisted of an Aurrezku (typical Basque honor dance), a welcome speech by the Board of Directors and a party with live music hosted at the new building.
Lantek will retain the existing building in the same Technological Park which will continue to be focused on the sheet metal CAD/CAM and ERP software products.
