Lantek optimises the production process with its new Lantek Fabrication module

Lantek announces the launch of its new manufacturing management system, Lantek Fabrication.

Lantek Fabrication provides powerful tools to enable users to optimize both the manufacturing process and key performance indicators. By simplifying and integrating management tasks customers can maximize quality, achieve on time delivery and control vital areas of the business such as budgets, sales, warehousing, purchasing and accounting to achieve greater profitability and high customer satisfaction levels.

The new module optimizes and integrates the functionality of existing Lantek Expert III and Lantek WOS software to produce an easy to use and cost effective method of managing the complete production process for both internal manufacturing orders and those outsourced to subcontractors. The technology in Lantek Expert III is oriented towards the manufacturing process and enables users to keep track of works orders generated through its easy to use interface enabling them to achieve full component traceability.

The Lantek WOS system provides feedback from the shop floor by collecting real time information about operations and nests as they are completed and validated by the operator. In particular the new system will group machining operations by multiple criteria including machine, material, thickness and delivery date, optimising production and saving both cost and time. The single screen interface makes it easy to see the progress of parts and nests in the manufacturing cycle while integration with Lantek’s CAD/CAM and ERP systems allows communication with all areas of the business and instantaneous reporting on all processes. The power of Lantek Fabrication enables users to make rapid decisions based on the information gathered, monitor deviations from the plan and where necessary take corrective action for greater flexibility and improved productivity.
